Worst ever!

I decided to take a chance on this hotel since the reviews were so-so. Let me just tell you that no way I would ever stay again!! The hotel is not a hotel its a motel...the room smelled like old air freshner that was trying to cover up smoke in my non-smoking room. The room had carpet that was pulled up right in front of the sink area. When I opened the bar of hand soap to wash my hands it crumbled into a 1000 pieces. The floor made a lot of noise. This is a very old motel!! The only good thing I can say is the sheets were clean and so was the shower/toliet area. The bathroom was extremely small. So small that you almost could shut the door if you were using the toliet. This was the worst motel I have ever been in!!!!

If you are traveling on the cheap and don't mind handyman specials, you're in for a real treat. Hotel room was small and looked like it had been jerry rigged. It did have a mini-fridge that we liked and a microwave. Was difficult to get room service, no alarm clock, iron or hair dryer or information about the city. Front desk did not know much about the surrounding attractions. They did offer free internet access and continental breakfast, but no newspaper. Like the saying goes ""you get what you pay for.""

Considering the low price I was expecting this place to be a complete dump. Now I'm not saying that it was a Hilton Hotel, but it was definitly a good place to stay for the night. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and it's in a safe area of Pittsburgh. I picked this place to stay because of the reviews. I hope that this will help someone out. If your looking to spend under 100 dollars for a motel, go for the econolodge. Plus, it's pretty close to the city.
