We were extremely pleased staying here while visiting Pittsburgh for 5 days. The close access to the Water Taxi at $* a trip to PNC park drop off- well- that entire scenario was FABULOUS for a baseball weekend or venture. This, besides the superb and ever ready free tansport (gratous- but we did tip)offered by the hotel to the Casino, the Strip etc.- was just a truly priceless feature. We won this hotel on a bidding site and even at its full price, the way it worked out for us- would have been worth it. We got great service, a tons of front desk help- always in a timely and conversant manner. We were also picked up within minutes, everytime we called for a return ride from any of the River or Strip location pick up places, as well. Everyone told us before we took this hotel, that being in the major downtown area between the two rivers, would be better. Totally disagree after this stay. I enjoyed Andy Warholl and National Avaray and much else, but it was MUCH better views and surroundings at this Sheraton Station. The hotel needs some wallpaper fixes, but has comfy, comfy beds and an option to skip housekeeping a day for a $* voucher used anywhere in the building. We got the 14th floor with the best view I have ever had from a hotel room, except for one other. Europe included. We could see about 5 or 6 bridges, Heinz Fields, 2 rivers, Mt. Washington AND downtown. PLUS incline and beautiful slopes. I would request an outside facing window and not one which overlooked the interior atrium. QUIET too- we were not near an elevator

I will list the bullet points to our 2 day stay on Friday and Saturday April 16and 17, 2010. I might add, we are Preferred Sheraton Members. 1. Bellman would not attempt to help us with our luggage. He commented that someone else would be with us in 5 or 10 minutes. All the while, as he just stood thier. 2. Thier were 2 people working behind the desk during our check in at 5:30pm. Thier were lines 8 deep taking us 30 minutes to check in. 3. Booked a "Deluxe room for $* per night that had a train going by every hour to the point of almost shaking us out of our beds. 4. Placed in a room with adjoing rooms to either side that you could hear the peoples conversations. 5. At 2:30 am both rooms next to ours had druken parties that security had to be a called. The noise and the party went on until 4:00am. THier were no less than 10 people walking around the hallways of floor no. 14 at 3:00am carrying cases of beer making noise and disturbing the other guests as well. Security had to be called two seperate times. This was like calling the bellman. Keep in mind you have on one floor 10 or more people walking the halls making noise at 3:00 in the morning. Why should anyone have to call security. 6.Vending Machines in the lobby were not working. 7.Out of towels in the Pool and Sauna areas. 8. Parking - $18 if you don't move your car once your thier. Ah, but $20 if you move your car during your stay. Bottome line, You just can't make these things up. It really happened. Management is a JOKE. Please don't make the mistake of staying here.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean and well appointed with reading material, a plush bed, views of the river, and nice coffee and tea for the morning. Check-out was just as easy as check-in. Just remember to bring money for parking, if you elect to use the lot instead of the garage. Overall, great place.

Very pricey hotel...obviously you are paying for the location. I liked that the check out time was 12 noon, the bed was comfy, and 2 1 liter bottles of Deer Park water were provided in the room. This was nice for me since I never like the tap water. I was extremely dissapointed that the hotel did not provide parking, and that I was forced to pay to park in a parking garage. I thought they could have at least given some sort of discount for parking. I was also dissapointed by how expensive breakfast was to have delivered to your room $4 for tea and $16 for cereal??? You can pay less at a ballgame. Lastly, when I took a shower in the morning, it did not get very hot..I am not sure if everyone else in the hotel was taking a shower at the same time or what. The positive points are that the room was convenient to station square..no worrying about getting a taxi or driving.
